Read the Dream Warriors' review here.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master is the follow-up to the series' third installment. If you recall, in the third film, Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) goes after the last group of teens but is defeated when they team up and fight him in the dream world. Now, because a dog urinated in his grave (no, seriously) he is brought back to life and quickly kills the group. But his lust for murder is not over and he goes after a new set of teenagers. Luckily, one of the girls, her name is Alice (Lisa Wilcox), can possess the abilities of her dead friends and use it against Freddy. He may have their souls, but she has their powers.

Dream Master is an extention of Dream Warriors. Both follow the same formula (the empathizes of fantasy over horror) and a wise-cracking Krueger. However, this is an inferior follow-up. Dream Masters had more charm, humor, and a better thought-out plot. Plus, the cast was way better. That said, this is still an entertaining flick and the character of Alice is quite good. In addition, the visuals by Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger) are very cool. So, it's a worthy addition to the franchise.
