Most people remember Ghost as a tragic love story. Those people must have repressed the truth about this film because this is actually a very creepy movie.

It's the story of Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) and Molly Jensen (Demi Moore), a happy couple living in New York City. One day, Sam is killed by Luis Guzman...except it was actually Rick Aviles. Google him. So, now he's a ghost since he has unfinished business. He must solve his murder. Apparently, one of his co-workers hired the hitman so he could use his company password to run a money laundering scheme. Sam wants to stop him while at the same time getting in touch with Molly one last time. He does that in two ways. One, he befriends a medium played by Whoopi Goldberg. She gets in contact with Molly, but of course, she thinks it's just a crazy woman. Two, he befriends a poltergiest played by Vincent Schiavelli who teaches him how to move objects. That's how he gets in contact with Molly. He moves a penny through the door to prove that he's there.

All of that is fine and all, but the most memorable scenes are the scary ones that people either tend to forget or never want to mention. For example, when a bad person dies their soul is dragged to hell by a group of shadowy figures. That is incredibly disturbing and has nightmares written all over it. Another example is the idea of seeing your own dead body. When Sam becomes a ghost that's the first thing he sees - his dead body on the streets with Molly crying next to it. Doesn't that give you goosebumps? Ghost is one of those movies where you'll have to watch some cartoons afterwards to get your mind to think about something else. Then, you'll go to sleep with the lights on and hope you'll dream about making pottery instead of being dragged to hell by the shadows.
