39,680 Families homeless due to Ike according to Government

43,680 families have been refered to the Hurricane Disaster Housing Program as of 12/26/08.  Of those only 4,000 have signed a lease.  This does not include the trailer program.  That enigma is "full".  See graphs from U.S. government (HUD website).
