To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of Dr No, Friday 5 October is James Bond Day.

Ian Fleming's creation made his silver screen bow in the movie which made stars of Sean Connery and Ursula Andress.

Since then Bond has appeared in 22 official films and two unofficial efforts, with the release of Skyfall - aka Bond 23 - scheduled for later this month.

And he's also battled villains from cat-stroking Blofeld to oddly-nipped Scaramanga and the dastardly Alec Trevelyan.
