The Oscar nominations for the 82nd Academy Awards have been announced today celebrating the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' top picks for achievement in film the past year. The 2010 Oscars will be co-hosted by Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. The Oscars live telecast will take place Sunday, March 7 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET.

Leading the Oscar nominations count this year are "The Hurt Locker" and "Avatar" which have nine nominations each. Other top Oscar nominees are "Precious," "Up In The Air," "Inglorious Bastered," "Up," and " A Serious Man." Film critics and movie buffs seem to have "Avatar" pegged as the film that will win the most awards at this year's Oscars.
