84-Year-Old Pole Vaulter Video: The Soup Mocks KTLA Report

The folks over at The Soup had a few laughs at a KTLA news piece about an 84-year-old pole vaulter. Host Joel McHale mocked the clip, which showed the 84-year-old pole vaulter trying to clear a bar that appeared to be about five feet off the ground and crashing awkwardly.

As McHale points out, "you're never too old to have your lowest moment broadcast to the country's second-largest television market. And kudos to KTLA's producers to have the guts to take a stand against old people trying to accomplish something."

KTLA hosts later pointed out that the 84-year-old pole vaulter did eventually make the jump.
