A new movement is swelling in the United States as a reaction to the economic crisis and it is headed by Glenn Beck.  Called the 912 Project, Glenn Beck's policy emphasizes the importance of 9 principles and 12 values that he says have been lost in the USA today.

Glenn Beck claims that 12 core values are essential to a strong country and that these values have been lost in a cloud of greed and corruption.  According to Beck Americans have lost their way and that the 12 values must be restored before things can get better.

The 12 values Glenn Beck is telling Americans they must embrace are:

  • Honesty
  • Reverence
  • Hope
  • Thrift
  • Humility
  • Charity
  • Sincerity
  • Moderation
  • Hard Work
  • Courage
  • Personal Responsibility
  • Gratitude

Glenn Beck is also telling Americans in all walks of life that there are 9 principles that must be lived by:

The Nine Principles

1. America is good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Watch Glenn Beck Live on Fox News: We The People, You Are Not Alone

Not everybody is a fan of Glenn Beck and the 912 Project.  Several critical articles have surfaced since the Fox News show introducing the912project.com first aired.

The most consistent complaint about Beck's ideology is the way it ignores how a Republican government was in power when the "transgressions" that caused the financial collapse took place.

The site, which is currently offline as we write this post, defines essential American qualities such as believing in god, being opposed to income tax, being pro marriage (as long as your straight) and many other gems.

It’s more of the same that we’ve seen from the hard right recently, this whole socialism is bad, our money is being stolen for us, Barack is a Communist etc etc. While some of those points might be true, what they continue to overlook is that Bush created the mess the country is in today, and Bush was the one that run up the foreign debt and started the bailouts. But no, it’s only bad now a new, black guy takes over the mess.

In the show launching the The 912 Project, Beck interviewed Chuck Norris, who earlier this week said that thousands of militia were preparing for a military takeover of the United States. If that doesn’t say batshit crazy, I’m not sure what else can.

Note: the912project.com site is still offline.

I am so amazed at how rapidly the USA is moving in a downward spiral.  We have a president with a socialist agenda, a press that cannot spell journalism, and a liberal left that is off the reservation.  The bulk of America is asleep and oblivious to what is going on an when they wake up it just may be too late.  By that point in our history the government will be so totally in control of our lives that we will have no freedoms left.  As a nation we will look to the government to tell us how to live, act and think.  The government will tell us what we can and cannot do.  The government will provide for us. I don't know about the rest of you but I will not live that way.  I look to the historic quote for guidance:  Give me liberty or give me death.

Although it is true that Obama inherited this mess, it originated with former president Clinton.

It is Obama who has raised our debt to over a trillion dollars. More social projects are not going to help our economy, just raise our debt.

I am not some rich capitalist griping about taxes, I am a upper lower class individual who believes in working for what I have and believes that more government interference erodes the rights of  U.S. citizens.

It really bothers me that our government doesn't listen to the people who elected them into office.I'm not saying he's going to but I have this terrible fear that in four years for what ever reasons if he bothers giving any reasons that President Obama is going to suspend all elections and take over the office permanently, I know thats unconstitutional but that doesn't seem to bother him or his cronies.

I am really concerned about what this man is going to do concerning health care. I had a heart attack a few years ago and I have had angioplasti ( don't know if that is the way to spell it) to put stets in my arteries twice, I also have diabetes and I don't want some unelected yahoo telling me one day that I can't have a proceedure or surgery done because the government feels that I've out lived my usefulness.

The government has legalized forgery for itself by printing up fiat money any time it wants to, now it looks like they're trying to find a way to legalize murder. What really scares me is if the government gets away with this how different will we be from Nazi germany that sent thousands if not millions to their deaths?

Thank you for engaing willbur and "nute". I love this country! Democrats and republicans are nothing more than titles for representatives serving American people. Maybe when Bush was in office the American people shrugged off their responsiblities. Now, hope and change are big words full of meaning and promise and open to interpretation; like anything else. I feel during election time this awoke most citizens, similar to a sleeping dragon. Still groggy yet aroused Americans voted for obvious change within reach. Something one could hold on tight to. Unlike the Gore/Lieberman days when it was in hand for some then gone in the blink of an eye. Mr. Obama falls short in representing me every day of the week.  I believe in the 912 project so I support it. I believe in AMERICA so I served in the USN. I believe in my family so I provide for it. I believe in peace so I seek peace for myself on a daily basis.  I don't believe in supporting an automobile industry that wants to have the cake and eat too.  Life is never fair so how does one appoint a czar to be in charge of making life fair?  Transparency is what you make of it. Could it be as simple as just opening your eyes? Stop waiting for someone to show it to you. Government isn't a pretty word. I'm fairly certain government was meant to be run by the people, not the other way around.  I AM AWAKE!  My eyes are open. We americans can't change the past written by democrats: Carter, Kennedy, Clinton or republicans: Bush, Reagan, etc...  The future can belong to us though.  Take a stand! Feel the passion! Fight for what you believe in!  Write a chapter for the present. Not as a political party but as a mom, dad, son, daughter, or American!  I'm going to continue to work hard to make my dreams come true. I wish each and every American would take action for themselves and then work together.  It would make the load so much lighter. If we each felt at peace for even 5 minutes at the same time we could accomplish world peace. Glenn Beck isn't evil, republican, a nut, or scam. He is what you choose to see.  Our God has made us all transparent.  "Created equal."  For me; Glenn Beck is a passionate, entertaining, motivating American. Thanks to him for choosing to be more than a lazy, unfeeling, mooch! Or a wart on the ass of society.

Enjoy a piece of today!

All you need to know about Glenny poo--

"In a new series called "Drill Baby Drill," Andy Cobb explores conservative writings on the topic of sex. He chose Beck as his first subject because of a chapter in his 2003 book "The Real America: Messages from the Heart and Heartland," in which Beck describes (explicitly) making out with his sister. Cobb has reenacted this scene in this video http://www.youtube.com...

WONDERFUL!  WILL PEOPLE EVER CEASE HITTING NEW ALL TIME LOWS?  CAN'T YOU COME UP WITH SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE? STOP FALLING IN LINE. WHEN YOU FALL IN LINE YOU BECOME THE NEW BEHIND FOR THE TRAIN OF CRAP.  KEEPING IT IN MOTION. YOU KNOW, THE FORCE FROM BEHIND. TAKE A NEW PATH AND BE THE ENGINE/LOCOMOTIVE LEADING THE WAY. PERHAPS A POSITIVE DIRECTION?!  WHERE YOU'RE GOING IS GETTING OLD. BEEN THERE. DONE THAT.

TO NEW HORIZONS!

Hey Wilbur,

Maybe you should get acquainted with some very smart individuals from the past.  Even you might recognize these quotations and names.

 - Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit; by consolidation of power first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence.    Thomas Jefferson

 - It is error alone which needs the support of government.  Truth can stand by itself.              Thomas Jefferson

And my personal favorite because it is so applicable to modern society.

 - The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.                          Albert Einstein

Glenns Principle 5.

"If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it"

Hmmmm. CIA. Torture. John Yoo.  Dick Cheyney. President Bush.

America tortured. Detainees died due to torture. Calling it enhanced interogation does not alter that it was treatment that was prosecuted under by Americans against both Germans and Japanese.

Where are the trials? Subpeonas? Investigations?

Justice is blind indeed. And shame on Obama for 'looking forward' instead of seeking prosecution. You cannot believe in justice or claim to speak to its cause when you fail to examine, learn and prevent the mistakes of the past.

Glen, thank you for what you are doing for America. I wish I wasn't sick because I would be out in the streets.I have 2 rare illnesses and am on disability but I don't want to be. I've had it all my life apparently. I'm 28 and my 20,s have been stolen from and so has my life. In November I go to California to see the only doctor in the US he treats these diseases. I'm on dilaudid for goodness sakes already. But I hope this doctor can help so I can wean off of all these drugs and do what god put me here to do. I'm with you all the way and so are my parents. Whom I admire everyday. But I do have a bad feeling that the war against good and evil is already here. I just wanted to let you know from someone stuck in their room all the time whose mother and father are not in that great of health either that you make me want to keep trying. Because there are days when I don't want to do this anymore. But my parents and you and my God daughter I know I have to do this. I just hope I'm well enough to do it and that Obama doesn't mess it up before I can. I've never seen such evil in the eyes of person before except maybe bin laden. I'm a gnostic christian. I pray for you.  And all of us who are fighting. Thank you Glen.. Thank you a million times Thank you.

Glenn,

Wanted to say that I admired you for standing up for our rights, country and the people of  America.  I admire the fact that with all the trials and tribulations that you have gone through, that you can still stand with love, honesty and integrity.  Those are the attributes that have gone by the way side of alot of our government officals.  If people would really listen to what is being said on Capital Hill instead of hearing what they want to hear, you would have alot more support behind you.  I have found that the things you bring to the forefront, you also back it up with the facts.  More than I can say for our government officals.  They just don't seem to care about the people.  They are so self absorbed.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.  WE NEED YOU!!!!!

Can't make it to Washington, DC?  Join us downtown Fort Worth, Texas on Sept 12, 2009 as we exercise our right to peaceably assemble and redress our griefs against the federal government.  The keynote speaker for the 912 March & Rally is Judge Andrew Napolitano.  We're are hoping to make this the largest march / rally on Sept 12, second to the one in Washington, DC.  Found out more at http://912ftw.org/march.

I think Obama and democratic party are trying to bankrupt our country. And we will be bankrupted and shut down like Russia was years ago. The communist said years ago that in order to turn a country from freedom to communism, is to infiltrate the polititions, newsmedia, high positions, unions, etc. Bankrupcy of a country will help this along so they can take over a country easily.
