The 912 Project: Glenn Beck Preaches 9 Principles and 12 Values

A new movement is swelling in the United States as a reaction to the economic crisis and it is headed by Glenn Beck. Called the 912 Project, Glenn Beck's policy emphasizes the importance of 9 principles and 12 values that he says have been lost in the USA today.
Glenn Beck claims that 12 core values are essential to a strong country and that these values have been lost in a cloud of greed and corruption. According to Beck Americans have lost their way and that the 12 values must be restored before things can get better.
The 12 values Glenn Beck is telling Americans they must embrace are:
- Honesty
- Reverence
- Hope
- Thrift
- Humility
- Charity
- Sincerity
- Moderation
- Hard Work
- Courage
- Personal Responsibility
- Gratitude
Glenn Beck is also telling Americans in all walks of life that there are 9 principles that must be lived by:
The Nine Principles
1. America is good.
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Not everybody is a fan of Glenn Beck and the 912 Project. Several critical articles have surfaced since the Fox News show introducing the912project.com first aired.
The most consistent complaint about Beck's ideology is the way it ignores how a Republican government was in power when the "transgressions" that caused the financial collapse took place.
The site, which is currently offline as we write this post, defines essential American qualities such as believing in god, being opposed to income tax, being pro marriage (as long as your straight) and many other gems.
It’s more of the same that we’ve seen from the hard right recently, this whole socialism is bad, our money is being stolen for us, Barack
is a Communist etc etc. While some of those points might be true, what they continue to overlook is that Bush created the mess the country is in today, and Bush was the one that run up the foreign debt and started the bailouts. But no, it’s only bad now a new, black guy takes over the mess.
In the show launching the The 912 Project, Beck interviewed Chuck Norris, who earlier this week said that thousands of militia were preparing for a military takeover of the United States. If that doesn’t say batshit crazy, I’m not sure what else can.

These are very good points. I would add that we should have a mandated balanced federal budget. In order to achieve this, the state legislatures would have to call a constitutional convention and pass amendments to the constitution since we all know that Congress will not voluntarily do any of this. It is a difficult proposition but one that might be attainable if enough people pressured their state legislatures.

Way too dangerous right now to call a constitutional convention. Just enforce the one we got. Could call for a national agenda to add an amendment to put reasonable term limits on US Reps and Senators tho, and defeat the effort to repeal the term limits on the presidency.

These are great ideas! Along with mandating a federal balanced budget I support them all.
In order to enact these changes we would need to pressure our state legislatures to call a constitutional convention to pass amendments to the constitution since congress will not do any of this voluntarily.
If enough people were to join this movement it might be possible to achieve this!

Glen Beck is on the right track, but he cannot do it by himself. We have to help by writing our congressmen and senators. I have a 6 page letter going to them now. What do you have going to yours? Just a one page note will help. DO IT.

If everyone here is so sick of what's happening in the media, then STOP INDOCTRINATING YOUR CHILDREN and take a stand! Boycott movies that contradict this 9 12 project. America needs to stand for something, or else we fall for everything! I hate all the complaining and then see the reality of the type of children we are producing. It's a joke. And about health care, it's all about priorities. People don't like to save and they don't like to use their own money for their health care, they would rather have a hand out! It's almost like insurance. I have to pay for uninsured motorist due to the fact that guy wants to use his money for something else,(probably selling drugs to our children!!)

Last night, I was disappointed that I couldn't get on the 912 Project website. This morning, I feel inspired by it! Why? Because it most likely means that there are SO MANY PEOPLE trying at access it that the server is down!
Glenn is a true patriot. His 9 principles and 12 values are something that all people here in the U.S. can unite under. Just as he stated during the T.V. program, after the disaster of the 9/11 terrorist attack, Americans were united! Unfortunately, due to political differences, that unity dwindled over the past 8 years.
Glenn's encouragement to participate in the 912 Project is about America, patriotism, conservatism, and how far our great nation of America has drifted away from the original intentions of the Constitution - that our Founding Fathers based this nation upon.
We are all seeing the destruction of America going on right before our very own eyes because of the neo-Marxist Resident Obama in the White House and Clueless Congress whose members do not pay any attention to their constituents. I am willing to join a movement to fight against all of the corruption going on in
Washington DC. And, the success of Glenn's introductory show to this movement (and the site crash!) shows that millions of fellow Americans feel the same way I do about the terrible direction we are headed in. We CAN stop it! Our voices will NOT BE SILENCED ANY LONGER! We will be heard - loud and clear.

I'm glad in a way it crashed. it show's the type and amount on interest in what Glen Beck, is doing. I for one say " You Da Man", Glen. Thanks for doing something a lot of us have wanted to see for years. Stand up America, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. All of those men believed in a higher power. Jefferson was critisized in his time for not subscribing to organized religion but that doesn't mean he was an atheist.
In fact, the Declaration of Independence (written by Thomas Jefferson) states that our rights are given to us by our creator.
In America, you have the right to believe or not to believe but the founders were pretty clear that they believed that morality and religion were tied together and that our rights are god given. So, if you are interested in getting back to the values of the Constitution then a belief in God is pretty important.

Well from the looks of this WE, yes US, here doing this, need to organize and come together for the common cause...to survive the take over of our Nation. Personally I think it's too late. To revolt now is what is expected by our Govt. and yes they have made preparations for it. There "terrorist prison camps" all over our country. Remember yrs ago when the govt. "bailed out" Amtrack? Well go to youtube and see what they've done to these facilities. Just search "concentration camps in USA". The take-over is all but complete. The president (thx to Bush's "power grab" in 07' as reported by WND.com) now has the power to declare national emergency/martial law WITHOUT congress approval. Yes we are ALREADY a dictatorship. The socialist part of it is being completed now.

Glenn, Love your show! I have an idea how about we have a MIllion Man March on Washington on 9/11 this year, then watch your show on 9/12!!! Instead of everyone trying to get to Washington how about we all march around our State Capitals. It would allow more people to make a stand by staying in there own state. I live in California and would love to make a statement here with the way our state is run! I see the comment about spending us into oblivion. Looks to me like Obama is doing exactly that. I for one don't want my money taking care of crack heads popping out babies and irresponsible people who get mortages that they can't pay for,
