Lionsgate is testing out a new distribution method by releasing the new title "Abduction" (starring Taylor Lautner)  to both DVD and Facebook on the same day.

This new shift will test the distribution model and also the viability of selling movies over Facebook. However, the video can only be bought through credit card and PayPal, not Facebook credits.

The video is being sold starting today for $3.99 over the service. That gives the viewer 48 hours of access  if they purchase.

The company Milyoni is providing the solution for the transaction for Lionsgate.
