AC/DC is rumoured to sign a deal that will make their next album a Wal-Mart exclusive.
Hmmm...this isn't very rock n' roll of them now is it. Unless of course it's tongue in cheek, but somehow I feel they're more of an irony-free kind of band...
AC/DC To Sign Exclusive Retail Deal With Wal-Mart

AC/DC are reportedly set to release their next album as an exclusive to mega-department chain Wal-Mart. Following a similar move the Eagles famously pulled on their fans last year, the Aussie rockers, which is still currently being recorded with Brendan O'Brien, is set for release in late 2008, and will be their first since 2000's Stiff Upper Lip.
The Wall Street Journal reports this could be a vital move for both the band and Wal-Mart, considering the serious decline in CD sales of late. In addition, Wal-Mart has also hinted it will try to cut its losses by stocking less titled in the near future.
According to the a href="http://www.nytimes.com" target="_blank">New York Times, however, the often-viewed-as-evil chain is also looking to release the next Fleetwood Mac album, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
