Most people have no idea of or have heard little about Moncton, NB. Canada. We're not a large city but we get a lot of people throughout the tourist seasons, so far  this summer we've had Bon Jovi play at Magnetic Hill which brought about 40 000 people. The Atlantic Nationals car show when they shut down Main St, it's one of the largest car shows in North America and always attracts those rare beauties all done up for the summer, not just the cars.

But what's got everyone excited and i haven't heard the end of it since speculation came out last year AC/DC will be performing at Moncton's Magnetic Hill for their Black Ice Tour. so far they've estimated about 90 000 tickets are sold, and they will keep selling right up to the point where the band goes on stage. we're the smallest city on the tour but the largest crowd. The Hill can hold up to 140 000 people and has been used for concerts for years, but it wasn't until the Rolling Stones came in '05 that concert coordinators really started looking at the site as a possible venue, to Halifax's dismay.

i'll have more information about the concert tomorrow after the show. opening acts are The Answer and Anvil.
