Adam Lambert Performed on the April 14, 2010 Edition of American Idol. Here is the Video
Adam Lambert made a triumphant return on the April 14 edition of American Idol. The former Idol contestant performed his single "Whataya Want From Me."
The April 14 Adam Lambert American Idol performance seemed like a throwback to the 80s complete with pyrotechnics and plenty of eyeliner. "I brought lasers!" said Lambert to host Ryan Seacrest.
Seacrest had little to add to the Adam Lambert performance than "Now that's a performance. Wow!"
While Lambert didn't manage to win American Idol, he still has fond memories of the show. He credited AI for getting his career started. "We worked so hard on this show to give everybody a surprise every week," he said. "Thanks to 'American Idol,' because it prepared me to make it in the real world. I owe 'American Idol' everything."
The American Idol audience seemed happy to have him back. One fan held up a sign that read "Adam is the King!" no doubt a reference to the Elvis theme on this week's edition of American Idol.
To some critics, the April 14 Adam Lambert performance shed a light on the fact that some of this year's American Idol contestants aren't too polished. One writer suggested that this year's crop of American Idol hopefuls could learn a thing or two from Adam Lambert.
Siobhan, in particular, should listen and learn how to sing high and still retain some sense of the song. All of them could use his sense of staging. Maybe a few of them will get some ideas about things to ask for with their lighting.

Adam Lambert is a showman. He was born to entertain. His vocals are stunning. I am just so amazed by his talent. I'm sure the contestants were in awe. Perhaps seeing Adam in action will give them a push to put energy and purpose into their own performances and go for their dream.

This guy was on American idol! No matter how many performances I watch, he still leaves me shaking my head in awe. Love him. Such a talented and humble dude. A+, sir.

Adam out-performed anybody who ever appeared on Idol. He is a superstar - his voice, his phrasing, his showmanship leave me speechless. As Simon Cowell predicted, Adam is a worldwide star. Hopefully last night's peformance will waken up America to appreciate this musical genius and put aside their prejudices.

This was the BEST live performance by ANYONE that I've heard in almost forever! Not only does Adam possess one of the most beautiful singing voices I've ever heard... tremendous clarity of tone, control, and range... and he can modulate it to the nth degree... changing it up and down at will... and emoting! The audience was obviously blown away... and I was in tears at the end. This performance will definitely get him the wider exposure and sales that he deserves!

Oh...Myyyyyy...God!!! He is unbelievable. He reeks with talent. His voice is sooo beautiful and he is absolutely gorgeous. How can someone be blessed with so much? He really knows how to connect with the audience on an emotional level. WOW. I will never get enough of him.... he is fulfilling his destiny....he will be up there in the ranks with Michael Jackson. I am a senior and I love Adam Lambert. He was the star of last years Amerian Idol and I am so happy he is making his way to the top in the entertainment field. The extreme talent definately lies within. Way to go Adam. I am so sorry I missed your show in Vancouver BC. Hopefully there will be a next time. In the meantime thank you American Idol for allowing him to grace your stage one more time. I just can't get enough of his theatrics. He had to be a tremendous help to this years finalists.

I cannot give enough of Adam's performances. I am 48 years old and find myself so excited when I know I get to see him sing. I still go back and watch the U2 song he performed "One" on American Idol last year. I think he sang it better even than U2 themselves.

Why didn't the judges clap or seem to have any enthusiasm for Adam? After Adam said how he owed everything to Idol, the judges are just sitting there motionless. What's up with that?? Adam is beyond amazing. He put on yet another brilliant performance. I think he is just darling!

Brilliant performance. He changed his own song! Amazing talent. No one of this year contestants has same stage presence or charisma. And what voice! He enjoys performing, too many of current singers seem to want to be only in recording studios
