Adele to Perform at 2012 Grammys, First Performance Since Surgery
Adele will perform at the 2012 Grammy Awards for the first time since her vocal cord surgery in November of 2011.
Adele, whose smash hit album 21 with chart-topping songs like Rolling in the Deep, is nominated for six Grammys, including album of the year and record of the year.
The singer is scheduled to give her first public performance at the Grammys since undergoing treatment for vocal-cord trauma in November. She is likely to perform Rolling in the Deep, and, if she does, she might have to reconsider the line “We could have had it all.” At night’s end, she just might.
The awards should cap the stunning leap to stardom of 23-year-old Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, who won the Grammy as best new artist in 2009.
Adele co-writes all of her music, plays guitar and expresses herself with a voice soaked in blues ache and gospel ecstasy.
