     The theory that there are too many people in the world should be written out of date by now.  People in the world are likely to go hungry from the outcomes of war & corruption, not simple overpopulation.  Africa is an example, with agricultural potentially able to sustain a population density much higher in many places, although war & displacement, along with corruption in governments, allow people to starve when they shouldn't.
