Aimee Mann & Ice-T Twitter Feud

Singer/songwriter Aimee Mann got into trouble talking behind Ice-T's back, but got caught because she said it on Twitter. Aimee Mann wrote on Twitter commenting on Ice-T's acting skill: "Christ, there is no reason in the world anyone should ever have cast Ice T in a television show."

Unfortunately, someone told Ice-T about it. In dismay, Ice-T tweeted "Hey @aimeemann stop worrying bout my acting bitch, and worry about your WACK ass music. In the mean time.. Eat a hot bowl of Dicks! Ice T"

Apparently Aimee Mann's friend or follower informed her about Ice-T's tweet. She later tweeted: "Oh NOOOO!! Someone just told me that Ice T responded to my tweet about him!! THIS CAN'T BE GOOD!!!"

"I am not going to read it. I DO NOT WANT HIM MAD AT ME!!"

Aimee Mann learned a lesson here, realizing that Twitter is not the best place for bad-mouthing fellow entertainers: "Plus, I do not like to hurt people's feelings. I forget that twitter is not just me and four other dorky friends, ragging on TV stars."

She made an official apology on Twitter immediately: "He's out there doing his job. He doesn't need any heckling from the peanut gallery. So, I am sorry, Mr. T! You get out there and DO IT!"

Three minutes later, Ice-T acknowledged the apology: "OK. Homegirl apologized....... Say no more. FLTG Cease fire! "Once again there's Peace in Twitterland." Ice T"

We are not sure how Ice-T found out about Aimee Mann's initial tweet, but it goes to show that Twitter is a public space.

Aimee Mann, 49, gained public recognition in 1999 when she contributed eight songs to the movie Magnolia, and received a Grammy nomination. In 2006, she received her Grammy Award for "Best Recording Package" for The Forgotten Arm.
