Alcatraz Trailer: First Look at J.J. Abrams Series

Alcatraz Trailer Shows as Part of Fox Upfront
We finally get a glimpse of Alcatraz, J.J. Abrams' new series. Aside from heralding the return of Jorge Garcia (Hurley!), Alcatraz also stars Sam Neill, Robert Forster and Rebecca Madsen. 

What is Alcatraz About?
Alcatraz hinges on the mysterious mass disappearance of 302 inmates in the 1960s, which was covered up under the guise of the prison shutting down. Fast-forward to 2011, where one of the inmates pops up on the streets of San Francisco, and hasn't aged a day. How can the cops track a bunch of hardened criminals who have already been presumed dead?

Also, why did the production team re-use the font and island motifs from Lost? Whatever- just check out the Alcatraz trailer below. Originally slated for 2013, Alcatraz will air as part of the 2011-2012 season on Fox.
