Alec Baldwin was taken to Lennox Hill Hospital last night following an argument with his daughter, Ireland Baldwin. According to the 911 call, the caller, believed to be Ireland, said that Alec Baldwin was "unresponsive" after possibly taking pills, and that she couldn't get him to wake up.

When paramedics arrived at Alec Baldwin's Upper West Side apartment, they found the 30 Rock star alive and well, though he agreed to go with them to Lennox Hill Hospital.  Alec Baldwin, his daughter Ireland, and telephones have an uneasy relationship: in April 2007, Alec Baldwin left that infamous rant in Ireland's voicemail, calling her a "rude, thoughtless little pig". The voicemail was left during the peak of Alec Baldwin's breakup with Kim Basinger, and was swiftly followed by a public apology.

Alec Baldwin will be co-hosting the Academy Awards in March, along with Steve Martin.

"This was a misunderstanding on one person's part. Alec was quickly released from the hospital; he's completely fine and will be at work today," the 51-year-old actor's spokesman, Matthew Hiltzik, said in a statement.

He probably popped some sleeping pills to avoid having to deal with his outrageous daughter. LOL
