Not sure what the real security reason is that caused this issue. Turning off 'all electronic devices' must be for some remote electronic scan of a passenger plane for any active or hidden electronic device before they can attempt takeoff. But just guessing..

Security staff at the airports goes berserk and behaves weirdly..Public harassment is new tool to dampen the spirit of the people to oppose formation,or transition from a republic or democracy to,of a police state.Once all powers are acquired by the state to curb rights and liberty and freedom of the people,it is prelude to formation of a police state.Nazism and Fascism did not die with Hitler and Mussolini. They are reincarnated;it is a different matter that when we begin to realize their presence,it is too late-as it was with Germans and Italians.May be we learn from third WW.
