Jessica Bongiorno Started an Online Petition to get Singer Alex Lambert Back on American Idol
Jessica Bongiorno wants to get singer Alex Lambert back on American Idol and it seems that many fans of the singer agree with her.
Just two days ago, in a shocking twist, Alex Lambert was voted off American Idol along with Katelyn Epperly, Todrick Hall and Lily Scott. The disappointment was soon evident on the Internet, when fans took to Twitter, blogs and Facebook to wonder at how this talented singer could be gone so soon. Now there is a new hashtag on Twitter: #bringalexback

Bongiorno has also started an online petition on Change.org to get 7,500 signatures by Sunday night. Well the petition already has over that amout and more are pouring in all the time.
On the petition Bongiorno states that a family member of Lambert's contacted her and approves of the petition to get Alex back on TV.
American Idol thrives off OUR voices, its the whole premise of the show. If they want the ratings to soar, bringing back Alex Lambert will undoubtedly do it.
Just imagine how memorable that episode will be, especially after knowing this all started with a simple signature. LETS DO THIS!
She sends a note to Lambert as well:
And Alex if you read this... we adore you and we are not stopping! We all know you were wrongfully eliminated, you were what we loved tuning in for! And I know we can tune in again by bringing you back. Hopefully I'll get to tell you that myself soon.
Alex Lambert, 19, did not make it in to the Top 12 of American Idol, but as he told Entertainment Weekly after the show, he still can't believe he isn't going to be on the show anymore. He admits he's not much of a performer however.
At the same time, I saw it coming because I’m not much of a performer. I can see how other people were connecting with the audience. I understood what [the judges] meant when they said that I was uncomfortable on stage.
He says that he did the best he could however and doesn't regret his performance, but admits he never really wanted to be on stage in the first place.
His fans want to see him back on that stage however, and want you to sign the petition if you agree.

DialIdol busy percentages, for this week 5.2 Alex Lambert 2.8 Michael 1.8 Tim 1.7 Casey 1.6 Todrick 1.1 Lee .8 Andrew .5 AaronIn theory, this would mean that Todrick had a smaller % of votes counted than the 3 below him. But the other side of the equation is how many people were trying to vote. (In fact the site numerically had Todrick as the most probable for going home this week). And usually the difference in busy percentage is so small there is not much statistical relevance. As there is not much difference between 1.3 and 1.5, etc. However, this week Alex was significantly higher than the others. This doesn't mean he got the most votes, it Simply means that a much higher number of his intended votes were not able to record. Which without a doubt altered the results this week, resulting in him going home. You would think, Idol would have a way to dedicate enough lines to cut down on busy percentages... Or at the very least, All contestants would have an equal amount of busy percentages.Alex Lambert had triple the Busy Percentage of the other contestants this week (excluding Michael- who Alex still almost doubled)...According to DialIdol. This factor skews actual voting totals. For instance, suppose the voting line capacity was 1500 votes per time zone..... And Contestant 1 had 1000 intended votes in each time zone, for a total of 3000 votes. Now Contestant 2 had 5000 intended votes on the East Coast and no votes in the other 2 time zones, but because the capacity only 1500 are counted. So in the example above Contestant 1 had 3000 intended votes and 3000 counted. Contestant 2 has 5000 intended votes and only 1500 counted. So contestant 2 goes home???

Yes, bring Alex Lambert back onto American Idol.He has a wonderful distictive voice. We're rooting for him here in CanadaAs soon as he has a c.d. out, I'll buy it.

I believe that Alex and his fans (including me) should move on after this, BUT considering that he was eliminated not because he had a few fans, but because of the screwed voting system- NOW THAT SUCKS. He deserves a spot, definitely!

lets look at it this way, everybody knows sang by alex lambert was undeniably flawless. its so good that i cried, i literally cried. and when he got eliminated, i was flooded by tears. lily scott however, is okay, shes good, but she can only sang one type of song, she never wow me. its like her genre and ability stops there, however, alex lambert has proved to us that he can sing slow and contemporary. stage fright? everyone has it, he is so young that he is nervous, everybody has that! his performances are memorable. truly, I DONT KNOW IF I AM GOING TO WATCH AMERICAN IDOL AGAIN AFTER HE WAS VOTED OFF. tim urban got to american idol with luck because the other one has a contract already so yeah. honestly, i like that song he sang, come on get higher, but after alex lambert got unreasonably voted off, which is ridiculous because he was flawless, i hate that come on get higher song. ITS NOT ABOUT FANS THAT DO NOT WANT TO VOTE, WHEN WE CALL, ITS ALWAYS UNAVAIABLE. like...SERIOUSLY??

Every single year I watch American Idol. And not once have I actually liked someone enough to vote for. But this year I did vote for Alex Lambert. He is so talented. He has a pure and flawless voice. So what if he has stage fright? Close your eyes throughout the whole show and he has the best voice. I hope he comes back or I'm not watching it again. No one in my family will. They all agree with my opinion. And if Alex doesn't get put back on Idol, I really hope he makes it in the music industry.

for real .. they got to get this dude alex lambert back . he has a pure and distinctive voice . and when i say distinctive i mean i could tell him from the others . hes genuine . there were others who could have been sent off .. so why alex? .. i mean cmmon !!! .. if casey gets kicked off im gonna stop watching it all together .. and yes im a dude but i vote for alex ..although i cant since im in india

WHY IS ALEX GONE? he was a great singer! we need to bring him back. some people in the top 12 aren't near as good as him. he was akward, but he was getting better, we cant get rid of him right when he starts to change. ever time he sang, it was gogous and beautiful. It's not a great way to build his confidence if you kick him off the show.

I was really upset when he got kicked off. I have watched American idol every season and never missed but one episode (which I later watched). After Alex got kicked off I have refused to watch American Idol. My really big family has too. I have never heard someone with such a unique voice and he was my chioce for next American Idol. I have predicted the top two every year and gotten them right except the year Hicks won( no one saw that though). I signed and I'm proud I did. I think if American Idol ignores this then their ratings are going to go way down. Bring Alex Back!!!!

He was so wrongfully voted off… come on, there’s people from OUTSIDE of the country who are routing for him now, EVERYBODY wants him back on the show, & you wanna know why? Because it’s ALEX who has the most unique voice, it’s ALEX who has the star qualities, & it’s alex who is vulnerable & might be more shy than the other contestants, & you know what? this is what American Idol needs, actually no, this is what EVERYONE needs.

I think that Alex Lambert should be brong back on the American Idol because he is Amazing<3 He was my favorite and he still is my favorite. I almost cried when he was voted off , i strongly believe that they need to bring him back because he has a beautiful and a very unique voice. I also think that Alex is better then anyone else on american idol . There are some other amizing voices but Alex is byfar the best, I almost dont even like watching idol because he isnt there anymore. I really like alex I wish there was a way to talk to the judges and say to them straight up that alex needs to be brong back in the comepetion so that he can win it !!! he would be someone that i will listen to because i just love his voice. THEY REALLT NEED TO DISCUSS ON BRINGING HIM BACK TO IDOL !!! I LOVE ALEX LAMBERT<3 And even if he dont be brong back to idol you will go farther in being a singing artist than whoever does win it!!~
