Amanda Bynes Retires from Acting at 24
Amanda Bynes Quits Acting via Twitter
Amanda Bynes announced her very early retirement from acting via her Twitter account. Amanda Bynes' last film will be Easy A, starring Emma Stone. Bynes is 24 years old.
Unless you're Robin Williams, Angelina Jolie or Tom Hanks, actors are basically temps. You rarely know what your next job will be and, if you're offered a script (as opposed to auditioning), it'll likely be carrying stains from someone else's coffee cup. Acting is not as glamorous as it looks, even if you have attained a modicum of success.
What next for Amanda Bynes?
Guessing from her Twitter background, perhaps Amanda Bynes has a career ahead as a tech commentator or illustrator of robots. Either industry would have far less daily BS than the entertainment industry: remember that Entourage is a heavily sanitized version of the acting world.
I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first I've #retired
The “Hairspray” star added, "I've never written the movies & tv shows I've been a part of. I've only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play."
