The Controversial Amanda Knox Lifetime Movie Staring Hayden Panettiere Airs Monday February 21 2011

The movie will be shown on Lifetime, starting at 9pm ET/8c.

The plot centers around the famous case of whether Amanda Knox murdered her roommate Meredith Kercher (played by Amanda Fernando Stevens) along with Raffaele Sollecito (played by Paolo Romio) and acquaintance Rudy Guede (played by Djibril Kébé) in Perugia Italy in 2007.

Knox was sentenced to 26 years in jail.

There was a scene in the movie that involved Knox fatally stabbing her roommate, but that has since been removed.

Knox has reportedly seen the movie, although she has not met Hayden, and she was said to be 'sickened' by it.
