On December 1st Amazon launched its second annual holiday event "25 Days of Free." During the 25 days that lead up to Christmas, users can download one Christmas mp3 track per day. Amazon editors have hand-picked the holiday tracks that stream and are available for download. Both original classics and new holiday tunes will be available for download during the "25 Days of Free." Amazon hopes to capitalize on the fact that many hurried shoppers will be browsing for holiday tunes and will be enticed to purchase after receiving this gift.

An Amazon rep tells EW that the list will include Lady Gaga (“Christmas Tree”), Tori Amos (“Snow Angel”), country star Tracy Lawrence (“All Wrapped Up in Christmas”), Christian rockers—and recent surprise chart toppers—Casting Crowns (“Joy to the World”), and zoot-suit revivalists Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (“Mr. Heatmiser”).

Amazon has announced today that it will continue a tradition started last year. The “25 Days of Free” will bring you free downloads from the Amazon MP3 music store from December 1 all the way through Christmas. Unfortunately it’s not all good news as Amazon is not about to walk away from tons of cash and offer its customers unlimited free music downloads.
