Who Got Kicked Off American Idol This Week? The April 14, 2010 Edition of American Idol Featured a Double Elimination

Another week, another American Idol elimination. The April 14, 2010 edition of American Idol, however, featured a double elimination.

Who Was Kicked Off of American Idol This Week?

Andrew Garcia was the first signer to get voted off of American Idol on April 14. The 24-year-old from California got the heave-ho after performing an Elvis Presley cover that wasn't well received. American Idol judge referred to Garcia's version of Presley's "Hound Dog" as "lazy and predictable." Randy Jackson said it was "not good karaoke."

After getting kicked off, Andrew Garcia said, "I'm glad I've been through what I've been through."

Who Was the Second Person Kicked Off AI?

The second elimination occurred at the end of the April 14 episode. With six contestants on stage, Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze and Siobhan Magnus were told they were safe.

Magnus managed to survive despite the fact that she is struggling to find an identity.

“Even I can’t pinpoint who or what I am, and I’ve always kinda taken pride in that," she said. "I’m not just one kind of singer or one kind of person. If I can’t even label myself, I don’t think its necessary to be labeled. I just love to sing.

Tim Urban, Katie Stevens, and Michael "Big Mike" Lynche rounded out the bottom three. The bottom three is a familiar spot for Big Mike, who was nearly eliminated in a recent episode.

Tim Urban was then declared safe, leaving Lynche and Stevens.

Host Ryan Seacrest then announced that Katie Stevens was eliminated from American Idol.

She said goodbye to her fellow American Idol contestants and ended the show with her rendition of the Beatles' "Let It Be."

She is the most talented personn, that is why :-). Perhaps you do not like her style but she's got what it takes to be an amazing entertainer. Great pipes, voice control..... She feels musics just like Crystal and Big Mike. Same can be said about Casey and Lee. Aarron is also talented but he still needs some training.... Cheers,

I hate her. She is a copycat. Trying to be like Adam Lambert.  Well she can't! No way.  She can't sing.
