Apparently acting on the knowledge that singer Amy Winehouse is on vacation in the Caribbean, a group of burglars broke into her London home. The thieves allegedly stole several guitars, recording equipment and a flat-screen TV.

It was an easy mark for intruders who may have known Winehouse has been away for weeks on a Caribbean vacation, spokesman Chris Goodman said.

"It's one of life's little ironies," he said. "Usually, hundreds of paparazzi are outside her home."

Thieves have stolen £15,000 worth of personal possessions from Amy Winehouse's Camden house. The singer, who is currently on holiday in St Lucia, is said to be devastated. Among the items taken were five vintage guitars, recording equipment and a flat screen TV (The Sun).
Metropolitan Police were called to the Grammy winner's Camden pad at roughly 4 a.m. Thursday when one of Winehouse's neighbors alerted them to a disturbance at the vacationer's vacated property.

So sad, that such a musical genius is reduced to its problems.
