British Composer Andrew Lloyd Weber has prostate cancer, according to a spokesperson. Andrew Lloyd Weber is responsible for some of the West End's and Broadway's logest-running musicals, such as Cats and Phantom of the Opera. Andrew Lloyd Weber has vowed to his friends that he will beat prostate cancer and be back at work by the end of the year. Andrew Lloyd Weber is getting ready to open Love Never Dies, the sequel to Phantom of the Opera, which I thought was pretty much sequel-proof.

"The condition is in its very early stages. Andrew is now undergoing treatment and expects to be fully back at work before the end of the year," the spokeswoman said in a written statement from the London-based public relations firm Brown Lloyd James. They released no further details.

Around 10,000 British men die each year from prostate cancer. Early diagnosis greatly enhances a patient's chances of recovery, so get checked.
Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer in men in Britain, with 35,000 being diagnosed in the country annually, most being over 50 years of age.
