Brad Pitt's photos of his wife Angelina Jolie appear in a photo shoot for the November issue of W Magazine.

The pictures, taken in August at the couple's French Chateau, reveal an intimate side of Jolie, including a cover shot of her breastfeeding one of her newborn twins.

As a preview of the issue, the DailyStab blog has posted the cover image.

It's been close to three months since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie made headlines with the birth of their golden twins, Knox and Vivienne, and then disappeared underground—or at least to a château in France. Now they've resurfaced in an ultrarevealing (at least for Angie) new photo spread for W's November issue, featuring the new mom breast-feeding one of her babies. The 21 pics were apparently shot by Brad while the fam was holed up at Château Miraval.

stop bitching because you haven't accomplished a fraction of what they have and you never will.

Jarrett Martineau, I like this story. It's good stuff.

Very important news in this time of global concerns. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. I may not have that power but you my friend are anything but honest.

As many health organizations have aptly pointed out, Angelina Jolie breastfeeding on a cover of a major women's magazine will likely do a lot to promote the benefits of doing so, and break down some of the social stigma attached to breastfeeding.

I would certainly categorize the health of a mother and her child as of global importance, and while this story may seem trivial at first glance, I think Jolie's ability to positively influence the actions and opinions of women worldwide is quite newsworthy.

Terri,

Have I been out of touch but it was my understanding that breastfeeding taboo ended in the 1960's in America. Everyone was pretty much breastfeeding unless there was some medical reason not to. What's up now?

I don't believe it's taboo to breastfeed in general, but in public is another story - hence the abundance of protests in public places (retail stores, movie theatres) recently where mothers breastfed in solidarity, after women were being asked to move to private areas to breastfeed their children.

Also, a recent study notes that the majority of women are only breastfeeding up to about 6 months, instead of the recommended 1 year or more.

The backlash isn't about breastfeeding.  It's about Jolie/Pitt exploiting their

children, again, for fame and money and using the breastfeeding photo to garner

those goals.

And, once you see the rest of the photo spread, you might agree that their choice

to include their children's photos along side of Jolie's "nudity" isn't such a good

idea. It is extremely distasteful and disrespectful for any parent to do, much less these

two.

These two "parents" have no shame, much less morals or ethics.

I don't think she's promoting breastfeeding in public. As she's not doing it in public, but in her own home. And she might not even be breastfeeding at all. I don't see a child suckling her breast. I think this photo is implication, nothing more. Oh, and private photos are private. These photos were done on purpose for this magazine (read it on the website). Hence, they were never taken for themselves alone but for pubilcation.  Pitt, who is for the environment (so he says), had rare film brought to him, in person, by people who went in search for it in other countries. Green by butt!!!  There is so much hyporisy here I can't even count it.
