Annie Lennox is HIV Positive? Her T-Shirt on American Idol Gives Back 2010 Causes Controversy

American Idol held their American Idol Gives Back 2010 show on April 21 and although Annie Lennox could not perform in person due to the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland preventing air travel, the t-shirt that she wore is still causing a lot of debate.

Annie Lennox wore a t-shirt saying 'HIV POSITIVE' that she also wore when she performed in November with Aretha Franklin (see video below) so it has people wondering if Annie Lennox is HIV positive.

The answer is no, she is not, but she is and always has been a huge advocate for gay rights and HIV infected children in Africa so she is trying to raise as much awareness as possible when she is on such high profile shows as American Idol.

So do not worry, Annie Lennox is not HIV Positive but she knows how to get people talking about the issue!
