Anthony Weiner offered role on HBO's TV series Entourage

Just hours after Anthony Weiner, 46, resigned from his position in the House of representatives on Thursday due to a Twitter pic scandal, he was offered a high-profile job offer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Entourage creator Doug Ellen asked Weiner to play himself on the HBO series for its eighth and final season.

When The Hollywood Reporter asked Ellin what response he's gotten from Weiner, he said: "Nothing." Ellin also asked Charlie Sheen to appear in an episode last season, but he never heard back from the hot-tempered actor.

The eighth season of Entourage premieres July 24 on HBO.
