Apple has released a patch for the iPhone hack vulnerability demonstrated by Charlie Miller at the Black Hat security conference in Las Vegas. Now your precious toy is safe and sound. Until another h4xx0r figures out how to break it. It's a circle-of-life sort of thing. Hakuna matata.

Apple claims a 24-hour turnaround, which doesn't take into account the fact that Miller alerted Apple to the issue six weeks ago.

To access the fix, connect your iPhone to iTunes as per usual, and click Check for Update. Or you could simply wait until iTunes does its automatic weekly self-check.

But, as always, better safe than sorry.
