According to the New York Times and Pitchfork, indie-rock gods the Arcade Fire and hip-hop star Jay-Z performed at a private inauguration party for President Obama and his staff.
It seems that the big celebrity-filled galas and inaugural balls aren't the only events to attract star power.
What a great perk for being a part of Obama's new team!
Word out today is that Arcade Fire, the super-popular Indie rock group, has come to Washington to play a private party for Mr. Obama’s staff members at The Armory. (Yep, hard to believe, there’s going to be ANOTHER party celebrating Mr. Obama’s election). Jay-Z is also performing.
Jay-Z and the Arcade Fire are playing a show for Obama staffers at the Armory in Washington, D.C, as...the Arcade Fire's publicist confirms. When's the show happening? Oh, right now. Like, the Arcade Fire should literally be on stage as this article is being published to the internet.

Was shooting Arcade Fire at the Big Day Out in Australia last year when Win Butler left the stage to engage.. instead of rushing up close with a wide angle, i stuck with a tele lens and stood back to capture the whole scene.. cool moment.
