Archie Chooses Veronica in 600th Issue

Archie will finally choose between Betty and Veronica... and it's lookin' like Archie chooses Veronica. In the 600th issue of Archie Comics, perpetual teen Archie Andrews will propose to either Betty or Veronica. The issue takes place five years in the characters' future, when Archie, Jughead, Betty, Veronica, Moose, and the rest have graduated Riverdale High (where they were students for the past 70 years) and are out in the real world.

Has Archie finally decided to take the plunge and propose to comics' favorite rich girl? It sure looks that way!

Those looking for an official leak have been out of luck so far: according to editor-in-chief Voctor Gorelick, "The office is in lockdown".

Will this really be it, though, or are they gonna pull a Dallas-style it-was-only-a-dream stunt on us?

After 68 years of keeping not one, but two high school hotties on a string, comics’ most successful player is getting hitched (even the supposedly invulnerable Superman succumbed to Cupid’s arrow and let Lois Lane drag him up the aisle back in 1996). Is nothing sacred?

My only experience with the comic lies in seeing the covers at the supermarket checkout, but I'm more into Veronica. Who would you pick? Take the poll!

I can't believe Archie chooses Veronica, Betty is clearly the better choice. Guys just like Veronica because she is rich and more daring but Betty is dependable and loyal, and most guys consider that boring when they are young, and when they finally realize they'd rather have a Betty than a Veronica, it's too late, Betty is already married to someone else.

OKAY guys....seriously get real here!...Yes i am a Archie fan ever since i understood the concept of dating and highschool and this came to me as a bit of a shock!...but theory came over confusion and the obvious is there infront of us...

This is going to be an issue of "only-a-dream stunt ", just as they did with Jughead. Not that long ago they came out with new looks for the Archies and would have a bit of their own story line going on in the first few pages and this was the debut of Jughead actually DATING a girl then PROPOSING ...but did he get married...NOPE!...so they want a change and are going to publish some stories regarding Archie and everyone following the guidelines along "what IF"....sooo no worries people...in riverdales "reality he DOESNT actually get married to Veronica"

totally rad idea sports fans!archie is the bomb! you are a UNRAD person if you dislike archies. veronica is totally the chick-a-dee for archie. she is rich and so much cooler and prettier than betty. betty is boring. GO ARCHIE 4EVER.

hey thats really offending. hattie 102, you are not a nice person. I am shocked that you would put me down like that. its a free country, and everyone is alowed their ow oppinion without ridicule. oh and somebody who would say such things is a total veronica - not a betty. oh. and by the way, i own 527 of the archie issues, but no, keep thinking im not a fan(p.s. that was sarcasm.) i want you to know it hurt me. but i forgive you because i am a true archie fan. ya i went there. VERONICA FANS UNITE!!!!!!!!!
