Thanksgiving 2012 falls on November 22 in the US.

While many stores may be open on Thanksgiving this year, or at least opening later in the day to entice the shoppers for the early Black Friday sales, there are many businesses and institutions that observe Thanksgiving as a  holiday and remain closed.

Schools are closed on Thanksgiving, along with state, municipal and federal offices.

The Stock Market is also closed on Thanksgiving.

But are banks open on Thanksgiving?
