Ashley Cole Proposes to Renew Vows: Ex Cheryl on Danish X-Factor

Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole's estranged wife Cheryl Cole boarded a jet to Copenhagen to perform on Denmark's X-Factor tonight.

Cheryl scotched rumours that she was going to visit her injured husband at his medical clinic in Biarritz, France. Meanwhile, Ashley Cole told friends that he will win Cheryl back by meeting her next week and offering to renew their wedding vows.

Insiders say that he has been talking to fellow Chelsea football player John Terry to get tips on how to make up with Cheryl. Terry has had the England football team captaincy stripped from him after marital problems, including sleeping with teammate Wayne Bridge's girlfriend. Terry was roundly booed by England fans at this week's international soccer match against Egypt.

Cheryl, a singer with The Girls Aloud, got to No29 in the Danish charts with a debut solo hit Fight For This Love and is about to embark on a European promotional blitz.

She looked glum yesterday at Heathrow as she caught a flight to Denmark. But her love-rat hubby, 29, is confident he can patch things up during a 15-minute face-to-face next week - by offering to renew their wedding vows.
