Autoeroticism: David Carradine Similar to Michael Hutchence Death
The bizarre circumstances surrounding the death of actor David Carradine have put the underground games of autoeroticism back in the spotlight. In 1997 the death of INXS front man Michael Hutchence put autoeroticism on the front pages of every tabloid on the planet with the suggestion that he was killed while engaging in autoerotic asphyxiation.
The parallels between the 1997 Michael Hutchence death and the way that David Carradine's body was found have tabloids talking once again about autoerotic asphyxiation.
Michael Hutchence was the lead singer of the internationally famous Australian band INXS when he departed this world. Hutchence was found is a Sydney hotel hung, and was officially deemed to have committed suicide. However anecdotal evidence, such as that Hutchence was found nude, has led some, including Hutchence’s brother and other close relatives, to believe that the death may have resulted from autoerotic asphyxiation, as Carradine may have died.
It has now been confirmed that David Carradine was naked when his body was discovered hung in a Bangkok hotel suite. A rope was bound around Carradine's neck and genitals, and his hands were tied behind his back. It certainly appears as if some sort of sex play, even if not autoerotic asphyxiation, played a role in his death.
Police in Thailand have not ruled out suicide or foul play. While Carradine's agent says that suicide was impossible the police are pursuing all angles, including murder. While no evidence of a second person has been uncovered in Carradine's room, the bizarre way in which his body was found has left many unanswered questions.
Autoerotic asphyxiation is a type of autoeroticism in which a person cuts off oxygen supply during solo sexual activity. People who practice autoerotic asphyxiation are often referred to as "gaspers" in the BDSM community and are mostly male, gay and straight.
If David Carradine's death is an autoerotic asphyxiation accident it will not be the first time a famous person has met their fate in this manner. Along with Michael Hutchence several other high profile people have died while engaging in this sort of autoerotic game playing.

The case caused a sensation in 1930s Japan and has remained one of the most famous Japanese murder cases of all time. Albert Dekker, stage and screen actor, was found in 1968 with his body graffitized and a noose around his neck in his bathroom. Vaughn Bodé, artist, died from this cause in 1975. In Herceg v. Hustler, Diane Herceg sued Hustler magazine for the death of her 14-year-old son, Troy D., who had experimented with autoerotic asphyxia after reading about it in that publication. [28] Actor David Carradine's death in June 2009 is believed to the result of erotic asphyxiation.[29]

This interesting link to Smoking Gun shows Carradine's most recent ex-wife's divorce court filings, stating his "deviant sexual behavior which was potentially deadly."

well personally I don't care what people do to get their jollies, but I find it really weird as just why they call it accidental when his hands were tied behind his back.
