Full-Length Avengers Trailer Hits the Web

Good news, everyone! The trailer for Joss Whedon's The Avengers has hit the web. Fortunately, it's a Tony Stark-centric affair, focusing on witty banter and sh*t blowing up. This is what super hero movies are all about. You can watch the Avengers trailer below.

Plot-wise, all we can tell is that Loki is intent on destroying New York City and/or the world. Cue Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury assembling the Avengers:

• Thor (Chris Hemsworth)
  
• Captain America (Chris Evans)
  
• Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson)
  
• Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner)
  
• David Banner/The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo)
  

The newly-formed team doesn't get along at first, which gives everyone an opportunity to say smartass stuff to each other. Also, we see Mark Ruffalo as David Banner, the third guy to step into the ripped purple trousers after Eric Bana and Edward Norton.

Of course, there are also Avengers toys: the merchandising machine is just getting warmed up.
