Baby abandoned

Obviously you are not aware of exactly what could have happened to the baby despite the dental floss on it's umbilical cord, and the lovely hole in the box she so kindly thought of.

As a nurse of 18 years, the last 10 0f which were spent working in a neonatal unit, there are many things to consider that could of went wrong...Thank god that it didn't in this case!

This was probably a young girl, not knowing that if she would have dropped the child off at a local hospital, that she would not be facing the charges that she is now.

I do understand that young girls may not be aware of this option, but she had 9 months to have explored other options besides leaving such a young infant in a box with a hole in it .

This once again proves that we need more education in the school systems on such matters.

My heart goes out to her, but only if she meant well, and had no idea of alternative options.

Please be aware of what you speak of, expecially if you do not know the reprocussions of this act.
