The Bachelor News: Tye Strickland and Melissa Rycroft Engaged

As current Bachelorette Jillian Harris struggled to find the right man, it appears that former Bachelor contestant Melissa Rycroft has finally found love. Rycroft announced that she is engaged to insurance agent Tye Strickland.

Tye Strickland and Melissa Rycroft rekindled their romance after Rycroft was unceremoniously dumped by Bachelor Jason Mesnick on national TV. Mesnick originally proposed to Rycroft, but later dumped her for Molly Malaney. Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney appear to still be together (they made a public appearance in Seattle earlier this month.)

According to Rycroft, she and Tye Strickland dated periodically over the last two years. Strickland regularly sat in the audience when Rycroft appeared on another ABC show, Dancing With the Stars.
