Bachmann thinks gays in the military will lead to kids having sex

Michelle Bachmann, Republican presidential pretender, has gone insane. She believes that the removed ban on gays in the military, which also took away a section dealing with beastility, will lead to sex between animals and children. I am not making this up. Her words:

　"It’s absolutely abhorrent, reprehensible and you think, this is the kind of thing parents try to keep from their children because parents want to have their children enjoy innocence. Children need that latency period, they need innocence and your own government legalizes this? … Are we really going to say ho hum and laugh and go back to sleep? There’s got to be something we stand for. [...]"

Look, if anyone thinks that soldiers or children will have sex with animals because of the removal of this ban, they are an idiot and nutjob. Fine, reinstate the military ban on sex with animals, but soldiers aren't standing in line to have sex with animals without a ban. Any idea that they are, shows contempt for the American military. Any idea that children will have sex without a specific military ban, is loonier than Mel Gibson on one of his even insaner days.

The religious rightwing just want to connect two men having sex, with sex with animals. In fact, that is one of their favorite arguments.They even state if same sex marriage is legal, why not marriage with animals. It is such a stupid argument, but since their target audience hates gays, any red meat thrown their way, they eat up. Animals can't consent and they can't enter contracts.

　Also, Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry had released an anti-gay ad where he accused Obama of working to destroy Christmas. Well Stephen Colbert had this to say:

"Governor Perry is right thanks to the gays our children can’t openly celebrate the birth of our savior in school and yet these gays in the military can openly celebrate their favorite holiday – being away from their family, risking their lives in Afghanistan. I for one am offended by the those who would condemn the Christmas lifestyle. They don’t understand that unlike being gay, loving Christmas is not a choice." Funny stuff.
