ALABAMA THE BACKWARDS

TURN YOUR ATTENTION TO BACKWARDS ALABAMA, APARENTLY THE COUNTRIES MOST UNEXPOSED DIRTY LITTLE SECRET. WHY YOU ASK WOULD ONE WRITE SUCH INSULTING AND TELLING WORDS ABOUT GOOD OLD ALABAMA THE BEAUTIFUL? COULD IT BE DUE TO THE FACT THAT OVERT INSTITUTIONALIZED RACIAL DISCRIMINATION REMEINICENT OF THE GLORY DAYS OF THE "KLAN " IS AS COMMON AS AN OPEN STORE ON EVERY CORNER? OR IS IT BECAUSE WHEN LAW ENFORCEMNT AGENTS {POLICE OFFICERS} KILL PEOPLE OF COLOR THEY ARE REWARDED WITH PAYED LEAVE? MAYBE IT IS BECAUSE BACKWARDS ALABAMA CONDONED THE ACTIONS OF A HUNTSILLE CITY POLICE OFFICER ACCUSED OF MURDER AND SEXUAL ASSUALT BY PERMITTING HIM TO RECEIVE A JOB PROMOTION WITH HIGHER PAY?

IF THE ABOVE QUESTIONS ARE NOT ENOUGH TO TITILATE YOUR INTEREST, WHY DON'T WE JUST MOZY ON DOWN TO THE MADISON COUNTY COURTHOUSE WHERE IN THE TOWN SQUARE THE OAK TREE USED TO "LYNCH" HUMAN BEINGS STILL STANDS PROUDLY ON DISPLAY, WHILE THERE IS NO REAL NOOSE HANGING FROM IT, IT IS CERTAINLY NOT HARD TO IMAGINE ONE AROUND YOUR NECK. THIS SAD DISPLAY OF IGNORANCE GETS WORSE AND MORE SHAMEFUL AS WE TRAVEL UP TO THE THIRD FLOOR OF THE MADISON COUNTY COURTHOUSE {A GOVERNMENT MUNICIPAL BUILDING} TO WITNESS THE PICTURE OF THE BLACK CAT WHOSE NAME IS "SAMBO" COMPLETE WITH A LITTLE STORY ABOUT AT LEAST ONE OF HIS LIVES, KIND OF MAKES YOU WONDER IF A BLACK CAT HAS AS MANY LIVES AS A WHITE CAT DOES IN BACKWARDS ALABAMA? BUT WAIT!!!! WE SEEM TO HAVE MISSED THE GIGANTIC MURAL DAWNING THE ENTRANCE OF THE MADISON COUNTY COURTHOUSE WALL WHICH LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF A SLAVERY PERIOD PIECE EPIC CONTAINING ONLY PICTURES OF MEN OF COLOR IN VERY LOW POSITIONS OF SERVITUDE WHILE AT THE SAME TIME CREATING AN INTERESTINGLY SUPEROUR IMAGE OF WHITE MEN. ASIDE FROM THE OBVIOUS MESSAGES THIS PAINTING SENDS TO THE MINDS OF PEOPLE WHO GAZE UPON IT, THE COLOR USED IN ITS CREATION IS MOST STRIKING.

WOULDN'T IT SEEM ONLY BEFITTING THAT SINCE ALABAMA CALLS HERSELF THE "BEAUTIFUL" SHE WOULD WANT TO ASSOCIATE HERSLEF WITH ONLY THAT WHICH IS BEAUTIFUL? NOT BACKWRDS ALABAMA FOR THERE APPEARS TO BE SOME SILENT AND ENFORCIBLE LAW AGAINST INTERACIAL MARRIAGE AND OR RELATIONSHIPS. THERE HAVE BEEN AT LEAST SEVENTEEN REPORTED CASES OF POLICE SHOOTINGS IN DECATUR ALABAMA WHICH INVOLVED AFRICAN AMERICAN MEN WHO WERE EITHER MARRIED TO OR OTHERWISE ASSOCIATING WITH WHITE WOMEN.

IN THINKING ABOUT HOW EVERYONE IN AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL IS AFFORDED CERTAIN INALIENABLE RIGHTS AND CIVIL LIBERTIES, IT IS BEWILDERING AND SHOCKINGLY CLEAR THAT IN BACKWARDS ALABAMA THE ACTUAL LAW IS OBSCURED AND DIFFERENT. JUST ASK THE YOUNG MAN WHOSE CIVIL RIGHTS WERE IGNORED AND ABANDONED WHILE HE WAS IMPRISONED IN THE MADISON COUNTY JAIL FOR ONE YEAR WITHOUT A FORMAL CHARGE AND WITHOUT BOND, WHILE HE WAS AWAITING A COURT DATE STEMMING FROM A LAWSUIT HE HAD AGAINST THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE FOR POLICE BRUTALITY, WHICH HE SUBSEQUENTLY LOST DUE TO HIS UNFORTUNATE INCARCERATION AT THE TIME OF THE JURY HEARING. JUST IN CASE YOU ARE NOT GASPING YET, THE FAMILY OF THE YOUNG MAN FOUND HANGING IN HIS CELL WHILE BEING DETAINED IN THE MADISON COUNTY JAIL HAS REPEATEDLY ASKED FOR ANY INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THE INVESTIGATION REPORT COMPLETED BY THE MADISON COUNTY AUTHORITIES BUT TO NO AVAIL THE ONLY EXPLANATION THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN IS THAT HE COMMITTED SUICIDE, A CLAIM THAT THE FAMILY DENIES AS TRUE CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT MEMBERS OF HIS FAMILY HAD ONLY JUST LEFT HIM IN GOOD SPIRITS NOT LONG BEFORE HIS DEATH.

AS AMAZINGLY OUTRAGEOUS AS THIS ALL SEEMS, IT GETS REMARKABLY AND ASTONISHINLY DEEPER IN BACKWARDS ALABAMA.

Alabama is a beautiful state from Northern Alabama to Southern Alabama. I have family in both and visit there every year and have for the past 40 years. It's the people in the state that cause the hate and turmoil. To post in BOLD and all CAPS I get it you have a problem with your civils rights being violated. Are you associated with Al Sharpton? He likes to shout out loud alot about civil rights, remember Tawana Browley? Just in case you don't I'm going to post a nice little story about them. My whole point being you can't judge everybody the same. I'm white and I have a black brother!

Yes Alabama is beautiful, but in regards to Civil Rights Violations, you must be one of the ignorant people who does not understand that people like AL Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would not have anything to SHOUT about if there were NO CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATIONS BEING REPORTED. Yes you are right, some of the people in Alabama adhere to hate, turmoil and predjudice, that is how other people get their Civil Rights Violated. I do not know who Tawana Browley is, but I remember Tawana Brawley, and my question to you is whether or not you are suggesting to us that ONE case of questionable outcome regarding Civil Rights Violations has ANY bearing on the EXTREME number of Civil Rights cases that are now, 20years after the Tawana Brawley case still being litigated ALL OVER THIS COUNTRY? To make my question more clear ARE YOU SERIOUS? and in regards to you and your BLACK brother......What does that have to do with Civil Rights Violations? Are you going to accuse him of lying when he tells you that someone violated his?
