Jhalak Dikhla Ja: Samay Live

Famous footballer Baichung Bhutia wins INR 4 million in cash and goes on to become the first male winner of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Sikkim witnessed an SMS frenzy as people from all walks of life voted for their favourite son of the soil, football star Bhaichung Bhutia, in the reality TV show Jhalak Dikhla Ja. Women from 5th Mile at Tadong here, which is part of an organization called Sahayta Club, chipped in with Rs.30,000 to buy mobile cash cards that would facilitate 10,000 SMS votes for Bhutia.

'We have all chipped in with the money we kept for running our households. Even our kids have broken their piggy banks to donate money to buy the cash cards to vote for the star footballer,' said treasurer Phurkit Lepcha.

Gauher was the best dancer by far. This Show isnt a School where you go to learn but it is a show to 'show' just how good you can dance and entertain! SET UP!

There's no doubt in saying that Gauhar was a better dancer. But Baichung got that ooomph factor tat can make a place in anybody's heart effortlessly. the way he behaved/talked made millions go crazy..i voted for him n  m glad he won atlast..YEAH!!!!!!now,tat's wat i call a performer!!!where's the party? :)

well no doubt, baichung is a gr8 human being n its just his simplicity dat has broken d edges n made em d winner but d thing is "jhalak dikhla ja" is not a show 2 ascend ur humanity or show how gud u r !its abt dance ....n no1 better deserved d title dan gauhar khan out of three. She was certainly d best dancer but as she had been revolving around so many controversies, she cudn't make dat "adorable" place in viewer' s heart n ended up losing d finale....but voters shud mind dat it was a dance show......

anyways congratz baichung.......:)

Gaur was not a good dancer if any women should of won it should have been hard kaur but if not hard kaur my second choice was Baichung and he deserved to win.  Luv you Baichung

Gauhar Solely deserved to win. But if you compare dancing between karan and Baichung (not thier choereographers or the concepts), Karan has more able and controlled movements with force, baichund is a great person but cannot dance to save his life (and he also acknowledges this)

I lost interest in this show since Hard Kaur got eliminated. Neither Baichung or Gauhr is a good dancer. Karan was the better one between them. I think judges should have the power to select the winner not the public. I am disappointed with this show.

I am glad Bhaichung won! :) Congratulations to him. I don't think Gauhar deserved the trophy anyway. She was such a drama queen! I mean what's with all the crying? And her dancing wasn't all that great. Bhaichung put in a lot of effort even though he had a full time job. Gauhar on the other hand had all the time in the world to practice but instead she was busy bitching about everyone. That woman is a real pain in the ass! Someone please give her a slap! :)
