Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - A 36-strong Balinese arts troupe left for France and Switzerland on Friday for a three-week long arts mission.

During the mission, they will organize at least seven dance performances in the two countries at the invitation of John Lux from a French cultural foundation, the mission's chief, I Nyoman Carita, said at the city's Ngurah Rai Airport as he was about to board a Malaysian Airline plane bound for Malaysia.

From Malaysia, the Balinese artists grouped in Jaya Semara Wati Arts Gallery at Sebatu village in Gianyar district, Bali, will fly to France via Abu Dhabi, he said.

He said the arts mission will hopefully help make the Visit Indonesia 2008 a success. (*)
