Bangladesh Srilanka T20 Live Score- BAN vs SL 2013 Live Scorecard
Mushfiqur Rahim, the Bangladesh captain, won the toss and chose to bowl in the one-off Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka in Pallekele on Sunday (March 31).
Rahim said that the nature of the pitch, which looked full of runs, prompted his decision. “It’s one of those wickets that will probably remain the same. If we bowl and field well we can restrict them to a modest total and chase it down. We’ll be happy with 160,” said Rahim.
Bangladesh, who are fresh off a three-wicket win in the third One-Day International, handed a debut to Shamsur Rahman, 24, the right-hand batsman who came in for Anamul Haque. Sri Lanka also had a debutant in Angelo Perera, 23, the allrounder.
“I was also going to bowl first, but it doesn’t matter. If we put up a good total, we can still win the game,” said Dinesh Chandimal, the Sri Lanka captain. “All the youngsters have a good opportunity today.”
Chandimal, who is captaining Sri Lanka for the first time, said it was “an honour to be the captain, and he was looking forward to playing.”
Sri Lanka, who are ranked No.1 in T20Is, will slip below the second-ranked West Indies if they lose this match.
Sri Lanka won the two-Test series 1-0, while the rain affected three-match ODI series was shared 1-1, with the second ODI washed out.
