Sri Lanka went past Bangladesh's first innings total of 240 to take a 54-run lead on Day Two as Kumar Sangakkara slammed his third consecutive Test century with able support from Dinesh Chandimal who also notched up a ton.

Sangakkara and Chandimal put on a partnership of 195 runs for the fifth wicket as the Bangladesh bowler failed to get a breakthrough.

Chandimal was on 102 when Rubel Hossain dislodged his off-stump against the run of play to give the visitors a much-needed wicket.

At the end of the day, Sangakkara was unbeaten on 127 with Nuwan Kulasekara(2) for company as Sri Lanka end the day at 294 for six.
