Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli is under fire from an Israeli army general for not being willing to go under fire. A campaign has been started against Refaeli by Major General Avi Zamir of the Israeli army calling for a boycott of products she promotes after she inquired to be listed as a foreign resident and thus pay less tax. On top of that reports are coming out that in 2004 Refaeli, who is on-again with Leonardo DiCaprio, received exemption from service in the Israeli army by marrying a family friend whom she divorced soon after.

Major General Avi Zamir said of the boycott, "at the end of the day, she is the one who has to look at herself in the mirror....We are a society that has an army, and Bar Refaeli doesn't have to participate in ads for [Israeli clothing company] Fox and, if she advertises Fox, then you shouldn't buy their products."

The draft-dodging model's mother quipped back at the general saying, "the general is a disgrace. Before they attack Bar they should check the government and see who in government did not join the army. Bar will continue succeeding. We are the sort of people who do and succeed, and they will continue talking."

Unmarried women are expected to serve two years in the Israeli forces.
