Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfi’ is not just sweet but with an extra dash of your favourite strawberry or chocolate essence. A clean story, with an intelligent screenplay, inspiring music and much more is what makes ‘Barfi’ a masterpiece. A good work of cinema in a long time, the film sure can be termed as a benchmark in Hindi cinema. It is one of those few films that make a striking impact yet with subtlety.

If I say that it’s a love story of a deaf and mute man and an autistic girl, I would defy how Basu has portrayed it. It is just a plain simple love story. Nowhere does he give you a chance to have pity on the lead protagonists, instead its the others who can learn from the two, to be happy in all circumstances.

There are moments in the film that you will want to take home with you, implement in your real life. It makes you cry, laugh and teaches you a lot.
