It’s obvious from Danica Patrick’s Shape magazine cover that the racing star knows how to build a beach body. Fortunately, she’s willing to share her secrets. The Indy Racing League driver sat down with the magazine and talked about her beach body diet.

To keep her svelte 105 pound body in shape, she runs everyday for one hour plus works out her shoulders, forearms and back. She does work with a trainer and said, “I skip days here and there and don’t beat myself up for it.”

Danica eats a high protein and complex carbohydrates diet. Breakfast on any given day would consist of a three egg white omelet in addition to oatmeal with cinnamon, flax meal and brown sugar. Don’t forget the side order of peanut butter too.

Lunch consists of an open faced turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard, but she will occasionally add a slice of cheese as well, “I worry about the scale like anyone else, but I have to make it through five-hour races. It’s a constant battle for me.”
