Self-proclaimed King of the Dancehall, Beenie Man, has been cleared by the Jamaican court in all charges related to his multi-million dollar tax evasion case.

Late last year, it was reported that Beenie Man owed the Jamaica government nearly 45 million Jamaica dollars in back taxes, which accumulated during his tenure with Shocking Vibes Records.

The presiding Judge dismissed the charges based upon a lack of evidence to prove that Beenie Man and or his management team had intentionally tried to defraud the government of tax payments.

Born Moses Davis, Beenie Man is recognized as one the Dancehall movements foremost performers. He gained international critical acclaim with his album “The Many Moods Of Davis” and has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the main stream music scene.
