Facebook Users Have Had Their Prayers Answered as Betty White Will Appear on Saturday Night Live

Actress Betty White told People Magazine that she will appear on Saturday Night Live in the near future. The 88-year-old actress confirmed that the Betty White SNL appearance will happen soon, thanks in large part to a Facebook campaign to get the Golden Girls star on the show.

When asked by PEOPLE, "Are you doing Saturday Night Live," she answered, "Yes," even if she remains perplexed by the groundswell of support.

"I don't know why or how," she says, "but it's been wonderful."

When Will Betty White Be on SNL?

Details about the Betty White SNL appearance are few and far between. Entertainment Weekly has suggested she might appear on a special "Women of Comedy" episode, a claim that SNL creator Lorne Michaels reportedly has denied.

The Betty White SNL appearance is part of a huge resurgence in the comedienne's career. She recently appeared in the Sandra Bullock comedy The Proposal and a popular Snickers Super Bowl ad. She also received a lifetime achievement award from the Screen Actors Guild awards.
