Beyonce and Jay Z Change their Names to Knowles-Carter

Beyonce and Jay Z have decided to change their names to include each other's names.
Beyonce Knowles will now be Beyonce Knowles-Carter, and Jay Z (Shawn Carter) will now be Shawn Knowles-Carter.
The couple have been married for a while now but had not taken each other's names until now.
“They want to keep Knowles because Bey’s parents didn’t have any sons and they’re keen to keep the name going strong, especially if they don’t produce any sprogs themselves. Or if they end up just having girls.”
The couple are also dealing with Beyonce's mom Tina Knowles filing for divorce from her husband Matthew Knowles after 29 years of marriage.

Thats what I'm talking about. I plan to do the same thing: use a hyphenated last name that would include my last name and my husbands. Good job Bey/Jay Z.

This reminds me of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. They changed their last names to Ono Lennon. John called himself acknowledging the women's lib movement as I understand it. I'm suprised Jay would acquiesce to that.
