Last year, Lady Gaga stole the show at the MTV VMAs by wearing a meat dress. At the MTV VMAs 2011, Beyonce took a more subtle approach to grabbing the spotlight, revealing the fact that she is pregnant.

During the MTV Video Music Awards program, Beyonce showed off her baby bump onstage by unbuttoning her jacket and rubbing her belly.

The cameras then cut to a shot of husband and father-to-be Jay-Z in the audience.

Beyonce's pregnancy may have caught some off-guard, but fans of the R&B star shouldn't be too surprised. After all, Jay-Z and Beyonce have been married since 2008. Earlier this year, Beyonce told Piers Morgan of CNN that wanted to have a baby.

When is Beyonce's baby due?

No word yet on a due date or whether their child is a boy or a girl.
